A lot of what I do happens with other people, in the open. I’m involved in the free-software community in Costa Rica — helping run events, mentoring students, and working on open-source projects that give back. This page collects a few of those moments.

Free software & community

Through LabComún (Laboratorio Experimental de Computación y Comunidades) at the Tecnológico de Costa Rica, I work with students at the Centro Académico de Limón on real open-source projects — including improvements to OSMTracker for geospatial data capture that supports climate-resilience and adaptation efforts across Central America and the Caribbean. Part of that community work is FLISOL — the Festival Latinoamericano de Instalación de Software Libre — which promotes and spreads the use of free software across the region.
